A line of students holds scripts. A sign states

I've been rehearsing all night.
CLEO
I was born to play this role.
Draculaura, the Stage Manager enters.
CLAWDEEN
There's only room for one leading
lady...and that's going to be me!
CLEO
That part is mine.
CLAWDEEN
Mine!
CLEO
Bring it!!!
CLAWDEEN
Mr. Where, the Director, enters and speaks to
Draculaura
MR. WHERE
Send them in!
CUT TO:
INT. AUDITORIUM ON STAGE
There is no audience. Only Mr. Where and
Draculaura are in the audience.
DRACULAURA (O.S.)
Hello, we're starting. Uh um…please have your monologues ready.
We see a quick bunch of monologues:

CLEO
Break a leg!

Break 'em both!
Clawdeen walks onstage
CLAWDEEN
Oh, my yon beautiful rose, alas...I am
but a thorn
Cleo rolls a bag of marbles onto the stage. Clawdeen
steps on them and falls off-stage
Cleo walks on-stage.
CLEO
Oh, my yon beautiful rose, alas...I am
but a thorn
Clawdeen jumps up on a loose board, which acts like a
teeter-totter under Cleo. Cleo is launched up off-stage.
Clawdeen walks onstage
CLAWDEEN
...I am but a thorn, my love is sharp,
yet beautiful in your glowing sun...Oww
CLEO & CLAWDEEN
Clawdeen falls down trap door. Cleo gets hit by sandbag.
CLEO
Line?
The violence escalates. We see that Cleo and Clawdeen are
completely tied up in ropes and debris, beaten and
mesmerized. Finally Draculaura enters.
DRACULAURA
Don't you remember what Shakespeare said?
...The quality of mercy is not strained...It
droppeth as a gentle rain...upon the
place beneath. It is twice blessed,
it blesseth he that gives, and him that
takes!
During her speech, Mr. Where wipes away a tear.
The Three-eyed Frog watches from his shoulder, no blinks.
Draculaura stops.
AUDIENCE
The audience erupts in applause for Draculaura.
AUDIENCE
Yeah, alright! Way to go! Did you hear
that? Shakespeare is so good. I couldn’t
believe it! Cool, wow! No way, that’s
amazing! Shakespeare’s so awesome!
Clawdeen and Cleo sit in the audience bruised and bandaged
in wheelchairs pouting.

Cleo and Clawdeen compete for the lead in the school play. While they’re busy battling, someone else unexpectedly steals the show.
